The Apple Watch is already the best-selling smartwatch on the planet, but does WatchOS 9 make it even better?
Introduction: What’s up, everyone. Raphael here, Apple Address, addressing all things Apple Inc. I wasn’t really excited when WatchOS 9 was introduced during WWDC, but there are some major improvements. In this video, I'm going to go over a few new features and determine if it's worth upgrading to WatchOS 9.
The new features of WatchOS 9
WatchOS 9 brings a number of new features and improvements to the table. One of the most notable new additions is the enhanced ability to track your workouts & sleep. There are minor, more specific details available to view during your workouts. In addition, WatchOS 9 includes a number of smaller tweaks and improvements, such as updated Heart Rate Zones, customize your workouts, instant pacing feedback during a run, and race against yourself if you're a runner or biker and you're trying to beat your last workout time or distance. Another great addition, especially for senior citizens, is medication tracking. My dad & mother in law could really use this feature. Another great feature is sleep tracking! Finally, now there's a native feature to track sleep. Finally, the most interesting feature of WatchOS 9 is the accessibility features. We'll be able to make hand or finger movements to access certain features. This is really cool and game-changing. Overall, WatchOS 9 is a solid update that continues to make the Apple Watch a valuable addition to any iPhone user's arsenal.
A comparison of the Apple Watch with other popular smartwatches on the market
The Apple Watch is one of the most popular smartwatches on the market, and for good reason. It is sleek, lightweight, and has a wide variety of features that appeal to users. However, it is not the only option on the market. The Pixel Watch, for example, is another popular choice. It runs on the Android Wear operating system and offers many of the same features as the Apple Watch. However, it also has a few unique selling points, such as its built-in Google Assistant and its stand-alone cellular connectivity. Another option is the Samsung smartwatch. This watch runs on the Tizen operating system and offers a user interface that is similar to that of the Apple Watch. However, it also includes features such as GPS tracking and a heart rate monitor. Ultimately, the decision of which smartwatch to buy depends on personal preferences. However, all three of these watches are excellent options and are sure to meet the needs of most users.
What people are saying about WatchOS 9 Beta so far
Apple Watch users who have installed the WatchOS 9 Beta are reporting mainly positive experiences so far. Many say that the new OS is faster and more responsive than the previous version, with some noticeable speed improvements in apps such as Messages and Maps. Some users are also reporting better battery life, although this could be due to the fact that the Beta is still in development and subject to change. Overall, the WatchOS 9 Beta seems to be a success so far. With that said, Apple Watch users who have installed the WatchOS 9 Beta are reporting mixed results so far. Some users are happy with the new features and improvements, while others are experiencing bugs and performance issues. That's usual with betas. Overall, however, the feedback is positive, and most users seem to be enjoying the new update. Apple Watch users can expect to see more improvements and bug fixes in future beta releases before the final version of WatchOS 9 is released to the public later this year.
Whether or not these new features make the Apple Watch the best smartwatch on the market - is the big question.
The recently announced WatchOS 9 includes a number of new features that improve upon WatchOS 8. There are other smartwatches that have the ability to track your sleep habits. Now that the Apple Watch has this capability, will it make sleep tracking better? WatchOS 9 also includes a new walking tracking feature that uses the built-in accelerometer to track your steps and distance traveled. Will this make workout tracking better on the Apple Watch? In addition, WatchOS 9 adds support for Apple Pay Express Transit and Siri shortcuts. There are no other smartwatches that can touch the Apple Watch when it comes to contactless payments. Therefore, in this specific area, I'm convinced that Apple is leading in this area of smartwatch features. These new features make WatchOS 9 more robust and user-friendly than its predecessor. Whether or not these new features make the Apple Watch the best smartwatch on the market is yet to be seen, but they certainly make it a more appealing option for those in the market for a new smartwatch.
Conclusion
The Apple Watch is a great smartwatch that will get better with the release of WatchOS 9. With the new features I've mentioned, WatchOS 9 make the Apple Watch more user-friendly and feature-rich than ever before. Whether or not these new features make the Apple Watch the best smartwatch on the market is yet to be seen, but Apple certainly makes the Apple Watch a more appealing option for those in the market for a new smartwatch.
